PROJECT OVERVIEW

This project was created to show off the new, dynamic brand system for Everyday Dexterity Convention. Skill toys are one of Simon's strange passions, so when one of his classes asked him to create a fictional convention based on them, he immediately jumped on the challenge. Our class required us to created a logo for our brand, as you see below, as well as an animated version of the logo, which you can see in the video presentation below.

LOGOS

It was tough to design a logo that showcases how the mind and body work together in tandem with skill toys. Everyday Dexterity Convention's mission is to bring skill toys into your life to help increase your focus, decrease your stress, and make you more dextrous.

BRAND GUIDE

The fonts had to communicate a sense of rigidity while keeping a playful attitude—the strictness of learning new tricks paired with the joy of play. Drawing from the bright, punchy branding of similar conventions such as the Moxie Games and Aroundsquare's annual Sling Slam, the colors fell into place.
